Patrik Ervell, Menswear Designer of the Year
He’s known for repurposing out-of-the-ordinary materials—he’s used gold foil and vintage parachutes in his collections—but one of our favorite Patrik Ervell textile tricks came with his Spring 2011 collection, when his models walked on stacks of 7,000 copies of the famously salmon-pink Financial Times. His reasoning? “I just liked the color.”
